    http://www.farmstay.co.uk: stayed in a really good one on the Fosse Way near Nottingham, and there’s one near us which looks really nice.

    This is my mates holiday cottages, not B and B, but he is a mtber and will show you biking form his door step, and a dead nice guy. His farm is pretty small but has the requiste sheep jumping about!

    We stayed at a lot of caravan sites on working farms (CLs – certified locations – 5 caravans in a field with a tap) as a kid – it was brilliant. The farmers were usually happy to have us kids hang about watching the farming going on.. we got to play in hay barns, see the animals up close and even milk a goat one time.
