My son has started biking again, he’s about my height but a more athletic build. So he’s about 6′ tall but no more than a 30″ waist. So who does a small waist but decent length baggy short.

32″ waist 34″ leg here – slim build – Endura MT500 Burner shorts are my favourite fit out of all the ones I have. Worn here with IXS Flow kneepads and never get the dreaded bare thigh gap

I suffer with the same problem and in the market, so also interested.

I tried the MT500 but they didn’t fit over my knee pads and just bunched up.

Sportpursuit have Endura cheap but that would be my only reason for buying Endura now would rather go with a company with better QC.

Yeah, they won’t work with chunky pads, but it’s a trade off if you want slim fitting shorts. They are perfect with the IXS

@stevenmenmuir I’ve got the MT500 trews which are probably 3 winters old and still going strong. They’re more grey these days and all the graphics have come off but not rips or failing stitching etc. Between me and the wife we’ve loads of Endura kit and have had very few problems (touch wood!).

fair enough, I also need new pads so maybe I’ll try again once I’ve got some.

I’ve had the full spectrum of Endura problems so not desperate to go down that road again.

I’m all ears if anyone has better suggestions. I’m another one using Endura Burners. Not super long but still but better than most. I’d suggest always washing them on a cool wash though as I think the material shrunk a little over time.  No problem with lighter weight kneepads for me.

Same problem here, following with interest. I’ve got older Endura kit that has lasted well if not a bit tatty but newer stuff has been very poor (MT500 jacket I’m looking at you). Favourite shorts are a pair of Mace ones that must be nearly 20 years old. Bought some TLD sprint ultra trousers in the Chiggle fire sale that fit really well and seem well ventilated too.

Endura 3/4 shorts – take your pick which.

they’ll be just below the knee when standing if no kneepads on. The leg opening is narrow, so they’ll sit on top of knee pads. That’s ok though, no leg gap.

They look good, managed to get a pair cheap too. Cheers. Sportpursuit have some Alpinestars for not much so may also try them.
