pretty sure there's one in our garden - rabbits are going apeshit in the hutch and saw something badgery with my torch.

our garden ain't huge but it's quite overgrown so can't see but there's loads of rustling going on

We have a fence, 4ft or so all round. WIll it get over when it wants to ? (got in, of course but there may have been stuff to stand on over the other side) (thick hedge the other side so roots might prevent digging)

No real intention of going out & arguing with it but if I do, of course I'll video everything 😉

Whatever you do, don't go near it - especially if it's trapped/cornered in your garden.

Find out if there's a local Badgerwatch group and/or call the RSPCA.

it will have dug under the fence.

Get yourself a plastic snake and find the hole under the fence 😀

no sign, and ded quiet out there now (rabbits still kicking)

Did you not hear the chopper sent in to pick them up? Badgers only fit in Sea Kings, and they are not small or quiet....
If it is still there, make on one of these:

Did you look across to nearby yards to see if there was a badger catapault? If your UK badgers are anything like our US badgers--I wouldn't be arm-wrestling one out of the yard.

Are the rabbits still alive or have they been savaged overnight?

Was it a fox or cat?

Since I know you all care, Max & Millie OK - bit chilly mind

Nah, no fox or cat - too slow and just not very catty or foxy looking (easy on the sexist jokes)

Pretty sure it climbed (or was helicoptered) out in the end, or else well hidden & asleep in the bushes. He'd had a bit of a scrape at the base of the fence but too shallow to get through

Badger used to climb up onto raised strawberry beds in my parents garden, used to get up to the top beds about 5' up!
