Anyone else enjoying “Arkane” on Netflix?

I understand it’s based in the world of the casual(?) Browser/mobile (?) Game “League of Legends”,which I’ve never played, but the whole thing feels like such a rip off of the game Dishonoured (in a good way). Two totally different game, totally different game studios, seem to be sharing the same city with the same balance of magic/industry. Is there a crossover or connection I’ve missed?

Arkane seems broader but also marginally less focused in design which ties in with the broader game style

Really enjoying the series, though it’s not making me want to look at LOL, but rather reinstall Dishonoured which has to be one of the best games (series) I’ve ever played. Highly recommended.

Coincidentally I understand Netflix have commissioned a series based on Dishonoured, which seems like a hell of an overlap, but Im keen for.

Other side notes. Arkane is apparently hand animated, no motion capture which is incredible, the quality of the movement animation is something else. Art style is great (if you like it) and the detail and lighting are stunning (as they should be in an animation where you have full admin rights over even physics)
    Take a look.
Or go for a bike ride.

Ive just looked up some LOL gameplay and I’m stumped. The Arkane/LOL/Dishonoured relationship is as if they released the Hitman film and said “it’s based in the Pokemon universe”. Agent 47? Never heard of him mate, Ash fancied shaving his bonce and getting a barcode tattoo.”

How are they not getting sue’d by Bethesda/Arkane Studios.

(Is it coincidence the studio who made Dishonoured is Arkane?)

I expect they met for whiskey and cigars somewhere and sorted it out.

I thought it was very good. Fantastic animation, great story and really entertaining..can’t wait for the next installment.
For the record I had no idea it was based on a game though…my lad can’t believe I didn’t know this??

I think you can make a case for all FPS games (like Dishonoured) feeling/looking like each other really, even some of the plots are the same. The animation’s good fo’shure though, I think the title of the Netflix series is Arcane and not Arkane

League of Legends is probably one of the most popular games…ever? I know the online has 100 millions players every month, and there’s tournaments, er Leagues, and there’s a Champion….Seriously, it’s the “premier league” of games right now

Because of it’s steam punk art design? Yeah no one has ever done that before (The Order, Bioshock, Machinarium etc etc)
