    Not considering when you’re riding and bouncing your way round the trails you’ll be placing some fair old loads on them.

    A few makers of carbon frames advise that you use a fork mounted rack as opposed to a down tube one

    Agreed. Less stress on there than riding. And that was the other thing I wasn’t happy with on the 591, clamping the downtube on both this and the CX bike.

    Yes, I’ve just got an old squirty bottle filled with water. Use it to wipe the car down first to get rid of any dirt, and then a squirt onto the suckers.
