BTW what’s your 4ch heli?

This one. It’s taken some hefty hits but still is in one piece. I’ve had it for about 7 months, very happy with it.

Ah – a fairly standard learner heli, but as you say one which you have to fly, so I reckon you’ll not have a problem with planes. A bit bigger and not so indoors friendly as my Walkera 4#3Q and 4#6s which explains your issues with hitting things.

You might be able to use a sim with the controller from that (the controllers from my similarly priced Walkeras work with one), in which case you can get used to the different behaviour before crashing something real.
