I’ve just re-filed an edge on and managed to remove the maxle lite from my old school 26″ revelations. I’d like a design less vulnerable to ham-fistedness, and a stealth maxle looks like the answer, but all the UK sellers seem to be out of stock – well, unless I pay £57, which is a bit much for a glorified QR skewer.

To that end, has anyone tried aftermarket ones e.g. this and did they work / last?

    Cheers

Let’s face it. They can’t be any worse than the Rock Shox standard Maxle.

Far Near – terrible name, great bit of kit.

I replaced the rear Maxle Ultimate on my Airdrop with one of these and was impressed, good quality, great price and lighter than what it replaced. If you get it in black a Sharpie will cover all the graphics too.

They do various sizes, I just messaged them to confirm fitment etc.

KCNC. Order from Rose / Bike gmbh. About 25 quid each end. Nicely made compared to the standard guff.

I’ve got a Hardlite Components one.  Some kind of Ukrainian Superstar-type outfit.  It was cheap, works and has done for about a year now.

I have maxle stealth, hardlite and mt zoom, all do the job, look better and weigh less.
