Nothing I have ever brought from mountain warehouse has ever have a hint or quality to it. I you want cheap, disposable and unlikely to do the job then maybe but otherwise I would look elsewhere.

I’m going to say the same old thing here – what is a softshell?
It ranges from a buffalo shirt to a plastic bag with some fleece backer. If you’re not looking for performance then anything is fine really, you could probably find something in screwfix, sports direct or aldi/lidl.
