Well, with E-Bikes, we now have the convenience of bikes propelling themselves. It appears that the next step has already been taken and, like driverless cars, bikes are going riderless. Soon we’ll have the convenience of being able to send our bikes out to ride our favourite trails whilst we put our feet up and watch the telly:-

That is amazing! If it’s rideable, them lazy* eBikers won’t even need to steer now! Brilliant.

    *no such thing, obv.

Amazing that for all the wonders of modern technology they still can’t get AI to start and stop a bicycle on its own; something that even most 5 year olds can do!

I’m going to buy 20 and run them on the first climb at Llandegla all day.

If the “progression” as is happening in the auto industry here in the States would translate to the bicycle industry the shift would be from the existing “hybrid” ebike with both human and electric battery power to the next step of a plug in electric bike with no cranks and no other way to conveniently power it other than to plug it into the household electrical. It would go 5 or ten miles before needing another 2 hour charge and of course cost hundreds of dollars more. The problem is, as with EV autos is that here in the States %67 of the electricity generated is from burning fossil fuel and %27 from coal alone.
