    Was on Reddit the other day. Think the general consensus ended up being American writer not getting ‘hooker’ in the rugby sense and went with prostitute instead.

    I thought it was a spell check fail and they meant Prop, but hooker makes more sense, presumably they thought Hooker was a US term and needed the british term… 😀

    Yeah, failed regionalisation. You mostly see this sort of thing where one media outlet is tweaking a single story for multiple regions, or where they’ve bought content from another provider and are changing it for their own audience, copy-and-paste is probably the most important journalistic skill for a lot of places.

    Still good though.
