News reporting states that Rocketman’s latest gift to the world has reached 2780 miles above earth…

Given that the IS Space Station orbits at 205 – 270miles, this rocket went ten times further….

Obviously, space does as the name suggest, contain a lot of space but is this possible / likely to be correct?

Seems a bit excessive given wiki says apogee is normally around the 1,200 mile mark. I suppose it demonstrates that the missile is powerful enough to reach the correct apogee on a flatter trajectory ie a much bigger potential range rather than going straight up and ending up in the Sea of Japan. Don’t think the altitude has been confirmed publicly outside the NK propaganda.

    Ah, BBC has graphage.

Surely it was to test the flat earth ‘theory’ of the 3000 mile high snowglobe dome that encases the earth?

    Shame it fell short…
