    Just been asked a question about my 5 that I’m trying to sell. Can a standard 26/38 Xt double chainset be fitted without issue? Anyone got any experience of this on 2008/09 frames?

    I seem to remember when I had a triple fitted I couldn’t run a 34T middle ring because the chain caught the swing arm on the way down? therefore was stuck with a 32T. It’s got a 34T on now but only as 1×10 set up.

    I had a 36/24 double and bash on my 2008 five and just cleared the swing arm by couple of mm.
    I think 38 is a bit too big plus the fives suspension was built around a 32 t chainring so might not work as intended.
