After my son’s rear wheel was nicked I’m looking for a set of security skewers but drawing a blank on a rear 141mm boost security skewer, anybody know of anywhere I can get one.

Do you mean the ones without a lever, that need an allen key to undo them?
If so, then loads of 142mm ones available.
First one from a search below, loads more available from £10.
    Burgtec Rear Axle – 168.5mm (Fits 148mm/142mm x 12mm)

These have a 5 sided Allen key to secure the wheels but fit qr frames.

I have these on my pub/road bike. I haven’t had a wheel nicked since 2000, but I and careful where I lock my bike and I live in Nottingham where stealing a wheel seems much less common than Edinburgh where i grew up.

I’ve been looking for something similar for boost front and rear

Sjs have these, but it’s £70 for a rear and £40 for a front. Seems a bit spendy

Spendy indeed, although it’s gonna cost me £180 to replace the wheel, cassette, brake, disc, tyre etc, maybe add a chain, I’m hoping to find something circa £20 per wheel….

I’m assuming he means the short lived QR 141mm boost skewer type that came on some early Sonder Frontiers, that rigid Marin Pine Mountain and a few others.

    Indeed he does. 141mm QR.

A cheaper option is I will always put my d lock through the rear wheel rear triangle.

Its a habit after seeing so many wheel less bikes in edinburgh. Doesn’t work in every parking spot, but I’m picky where I put my bike.

    Some might say paranoid.

My son is going to carry a cable with him to put through the wheels, seat etc and in to his D lock, I should be able to get one for the front, just hoping for belt and braces on the rear too.
