They are all beginning to cluster for semi-hibernation. If you find where they are hiding there will probably be loads in one place. I moved a couple of paving slabs that were leaning against the fence and found about 60 snails all stuck to the back.

Now all splatteded against a tree just over the back fence. It is quite funny watching the birds trying to eat the slug remains from the side of a big oak tree when they have nothing to stand on. Black birds cannot hover

beer traps, slops free from the local, then the birds/hedgehog eat them and benefit from the beer too.

A Flymo. Does a lovely job of skinning them alive, depositing sloughed skin to the left and squidgy internals to the right.

Nematode worms are absolutely brilliant (look up Nemaslug). However you don’t get the staisfaction of personally killing the slimy little b*stards

Bushwacked – i’m with you little sods are getting on my carpets somehow & short of waiting until 03.00 to pick up any I can find there seems little way of getting ride of them.
