Just been told the wee man has perthes disease. It all sounds a bit scary. Haven't been to see the specialist yet so don't really know what to expect. I know some on here had it as youngsters but was wondering if anyone has recent experience to share.
If only fixing kids was like fixing bikes.

I've no personal experience of Perthes, but a friend's son had it a few years ago. He's 16 now, and is a very gifted young sportsman - gets trials at County level in Cricket and Hockey (not been selected yet, but he's bubbling under!).
