They come in well cheap for breakdown cover, and say they are axa assist backed. Just wondering how legit they are.

Good call. Emailed AXA, and roadrescue do indeed use them.
This should be a PSA their cover is cheapest i've found. National recovery for £40!

vehiclerescuedirect do the same cover for £38!!
or if you want homestart as well use autoaid for £42ish
