My phone is up for renewal next week and so I got a phone call from a phone company offering to upgrade my phone for me. Goes something like this....

Im from Company X and we can upgrade your phone for you. What phone are you interested in upgrading to?
Me: Im thinking of a Samsung Galaxy S2
Him: Ok well those are free on contracts from £45 a month
Me: Well I have looked around and you can get them free on contracts from £31 a month
Him: OH well you are probably better off getting that then. Thanks for your time[/i]
Didnt try and barter or anything - dont think he is going to make much ommision if that is how he sells stuff!
Sounds ideal to me - nobody's time was wasted, you're free to go off and get the £31pm deal,and he probably wouldn't have made any commision at the price.
what if his commision was £14/month/contract?
I like the dickhead salesmen who call up 'representing' Google, and say stuff like, "It's NAME calling from Google's SEO team. Would you like your website to have more hits and therefore generate more business?" "May as well ..." "Good, because we guarantee to get your website to number one on all searches. All you have to do is sign up to ..."
They must con a fair few people with that BS.
