So surely as everyone is buying wood burners at the moment is it not a good idea to buy up all the old fireplaces that are being replaced and wait for them to come back into fashion and then make a mint?

Cast iron fireplaces are the future, especially when all the cheap imported wood burners crack and die.

i've got a cast iron fire place hanging around if anyone wants it, broken in 2 places, some parts missing original tiles, painted a nasty shade of lilac.

I have beaten you to it with this theory. I have been buying up all the old tv cabinets off ebay. When everyone gets rid of these new fangled flat tellys, im in big business....
