So who would you prefer as England captain?

Blue Corner - John "Can't keep it in your trousers" Terry
or
Red Corner - Rio "oops i forgot to go for my drug test" Ferdinand

Terry got caught.

Rio didn't, so that must make him a better candidate.

I like the idea of Beckham taking over, but the captain needs to be a player who'll be on the pitch for 90 minutes in every game. John Terry was the man for the job by a country mile.

Terry's a choker, all mouth and no trousers (literally!).

Penalties anyone?

Will it really matter when England go out in the 2nd round (1/4 finals if they are lucky).

Of course the media will bill this year as "our best chance to win the tournament since 1966" again.

I for one really couldn't give a $hit, in case you were wondering 😉

Did anybody ask whether Wayne Bridge is bothered, or spared a thought for Terry's wife?
Another success for the great British press.

I would see who actually looked like they were singing the national anthem at the beginning of the game then quickly give it him before the kick off

I hate seeing them mumbling the anthem when all the fans are belting it out

not that I give a toss but if I were looking for an england football captain, I'd be looking for someone who was a great footballer and a great leader of men. After that I couldn't care less, if he wants to knob legless blind sheep with heart conditions in his spare time (and obviously, being a footballer he has plenty of that), why should I care? If he wins football matches I really can't see what the problem is. He's had an affair, whoopee do, so has every other single player on the english team, they've just not been caught yet.

Be grateful you're in the world cup 🙁
Not all countries are so fortunate.

Personally I think you have to let the other players or someone who is in that 'clique' decide. These boys live in their own world that is so far detached from the rest of us we're not in a position to understand the effects of Terrys actions.
The most scarey thought is that he might have more respect from his peers after this indiscretion...
