woke up stupid this morning. Quick reminder, if a supply is limited to 6kVA, what's the peak W consumption available (at 230-240Vac)?

Ignoring power factor correction kVA = kW so 6kVA is 6kW, about 26A at 230/240v

Obviously don't just ignore power factor correction if you are close to the limit, especially if it is a big motor you are powering.

no big motors.

It's to do with a French power supply contract (you buy kVa capacity - and ours is 6kVa) and I'm sorting out kitchen appliances and need to make sure that if Mrs Stoner turns everything on at once it doesn't bring the Fifth Republic to a grinding halt.
