We have just added an epson sx600fw wireless printer to our office and home network, but when the printer is turned on and used it blocks out and drops the internet connection. Then a reboot/reset of router is required.

Anyone know why ? Is there a conflict or something ?

Cheers.

IP address conflict? Is the printer set DHCP or did you set a static IP address?

Static IP address, no conflicts are showing.

Read the manual?

Most wifi printers need to be wifi off and setup by usb or using the controls on the printer.

I'd check with fault finder in the manual and call Epson in case it's faulty.

Try changing the printer IP address, can't hurt?

I have read the manual, searched the net. I know that equipment have to be wired up in order to set up the wireless function.

The only thing that is different and that has been recently added to the network a pair of the homeplug adaptors in order to extend the web connection into the house.

I'd still say it's an IP address problem. Is every networked device assigned a static IP, or are some DHCP?
