The mother in law wants one, so are there any good ones out there?
I see dead people.
😆 Not the best topic header
was a good windup radio on 5live this morning - "the old firm - are they ALL tossers?"
(why wind-up ?)
(and, you know she's worth it )
The question is - do they talk to you when they're not wound up?
Why because she wants to listen to it in the garden.
Pimpmaster I don't know because I don't own one?
Solar powered DAB ftw, surely?
One word...Batteries.
Had two, both broke. Now in landfill.
I have a small wind up Roberts radio that is a cracking little radio, it used to be really good as a wind up radio but with all these things after a period of not recharging by winding it the internal battery seems to have suffered. It still takes normal AA batteries in the back and runs for weeks on 2 AA batteries. If I needed one again for gardening/camping etc I would go for solar powered or just batteries.

Sounds like the one we have and it is excellent. I occasionally use the wind up option but it lasts for ages on rechargeable batteries and the sound quality and reception are better than any of our other fm / am radios.
