ok, i reinstale dwindowns but didnt format the drive beforehand, now id quite ike to go back to the old one (which must stil be there as 100+g of C:\ drive is unavailable) just to get some of the files.
is it possible?
if you haven't formatted it but just reinstalled windows to a new directory or even on top of the old windows directory your files should be visible.
i'm wondering if you've done something more serious ....
possibly created a new partition or removed an old one?
i did nothing clever, unless its fairly easy its probably more hastle than its worth, wold be nice to have all the stuff i downloaded previously, but not essential.
just installed it onto whichever partition was bigest when it gave me the option.
i didnt realise anything was up untill i ran out of space after istalling/downloading about 25gb of stuff
