Delete cookies and history? Would that fix it?

Have you gone over you allowance? Happen to us once, and the internet went really slow. Then was fixed again!

Mine's started going really slow and started dropping connection at peak times over the last month or so. Trouble is as they all use the same wires and we're 4 miles from the exchange I don't think there is much I can do about it.

open up task manager, see if something is running and using up all cpu/memory.

is your internet really slow or just your PC? try pinging a website like bbc.co.uk, what sort of response times do you get?

have you rebooted your router?

Got to be a virus or spyware. Get Avast free antivirus and a spyware remover and run them

Try running Opera, seems much faster as soon as the turbo is on. FF struggles with all the clips on the side of the screen, at least on my PC.
