Really really sorry to add the downer, but I instinctively thought of Jahwomble when I saw this thread. The guy always made me smile and I was always happy when he returned from an absence. Wish I could let him know that. I keep reading the sticky, and it really chokes me up 🙁

Laughter is a bloody good medicine...those who make others laugh provide a wonderful, free service.

The hora/binners saga always makes me chuckle.

Can I add Stoner to my list ...... the guy's good when he's on form. CFH can be too. And Hora has always impressed me by his ability to laugh at himself and allow others to do so too. I'm sure there's loads of others. FC can come out with some gems 😉

Miketually, Ed Hornby and his brother (Ma)tthew, Harry the Spider, Mr Sparkle, Twinklydave, Terrahawk and Mr Starship all make me laugh, but then (I think) I've met them all, which can help an awful lot when it comes to humour.

I think the Elf is most amusing and have others have said, I really did appreciate Jahwomble's posts as well. Would have loved to have met him, just came across a a decent bloke.

Molgrips I find very funny, as well as Oldgit, Ernie, TJ, Binners, The Captain, Barnes & Our Man In The North. All characters I'd love to sit down for a beer with, as I suspect they'd be damn good company.

Too many to list really, I'm sure I've missed out loads of people. Would be much easier to post a list of those I don't find funny.

yeah +1 jahwomble although I was on the end of his sarcasm on a few occasions! So shocked still. Kind of ruined the forum for me, but it was getting repetitive after 3 years of use anyway so I may find somewhere with no bikes!

Of those still with us SFB I enjoy reading him argue with others as he always always wins and appears not to get annoyed where as I imagine TJ/Elfin/surfmat are shouting at their screens!! Also lanesra his forum posts are so obviously trolls and every time the usual suspects take the bait.

the armchair hardmen are always worth a giggle. This Fred/padded/elfin is much betterer than the other ones. Learned much from Ernie and Stoner. enjoy Big Dummy's and OMITN's contributions. Hora and 'Grips just make me laugh. Surf Mat is of course simply awesome, and always respect fettling/bike forum contributions of Clubber, Cynical Al, and Peter Poddy's suss tips. MrMichaelwrights, grumm's, Rocketdogs photos are often unreal.

Few are funny on their own, it only works when the right retort is made.

Nobody really stands out as being funnier than another, the collective stupidity created by many wins it for me.

He'll get all stuck into sommat and get all serious, then can't be bothered and go make some pasta or something. His modus operandi makes me laugh. Nah, you need a good laugh sometimes. It's flattering for people to consider me funny, and I do try to have a laugh on here. Not always in the mood mind, but then others have lifted my spirits at times.

There are one or two miserable buggers though. Need to lighten up a bit.
