So fellow whiskey drinkers...Help required!

Dads birthday next month (well October) and he is a keen whiskey drinker, but doesnt know much about them. He just drinks it which is fine and always drinks the cheapest he can find. But for his birthday, I'm thinking i'd like to get him to a Whiskey Tasting day / event thing so he can enjoy it rather than gulp it down like an old drunk. Any ideas? We're in the NW.

Ta!

Whisky = Scottish
Whiskey = Irish/American.

So now you know... 😉

Whisky tasting events are really enjoyable... such simple ingredients but so many different tastes... Great Birthday Present.

Hammer.

Not been on a whisky one but did a tour of the Hennesey factory in Cognac which was amazing.

Well it'll be Whisky then for us! I knew there was a difference but didn't know which way round, but cheers anyway! 😀

Dad cant make it; he's away - how rude! Suppose i'll have to go on my own - seems a bargain!

I run a whisky tasting company and hold tastings around the UK and one in Littleborough....I can offer you a discount code to come along 😉
Www.dramaticwhisky.com sessions are in small groups, last about 90mins and I go through 5 single malts and a blend, all good stuff.

By the way hammer- whisky (no e) can also be Canadian, Welsh, Indian, Japanese, English etc etc and yes, India do produce a single malt 😉

Scotch = Scotland.

Careful at the whisky festival. Last time I went to one it started at 12 noon and a hangover was on its way by nine that evening. Great day but awful night!
