anyone got the html code to ensure that when a form submit button is clicked the contents are sent to an email address and the user is taken to a thank you page?

i've made a nice form just want to have it emailed on submission

thanks in advance, and yes, in this area of expertise i'm a bit lacking in ability and knowledge if not determination

What you need goes beyond html and into the realms of server side coding I'm afraid, php, cgi, that sort of thing.

You need something along the lines of a PHP Form Mail type script.

Based on what you're saying, you're probably going to have some "fun" getting this to work I'm afraid.

This however, might save you: http://wufoo.com/

I've used wufoo before for mass scale registration its not worth it as a permanent solution usually.

easier if its on wordpress as you could use a plugin

here is a place with options

thanks for the replies, will look at the links now

i've now managed to make it create the email containing the data for the client to then press send - any way to automate this and for them to go to a thanks type page?

I have the code to do it using ASP if thats any good?

Do you plan to run it on a MS box or a Linux box?

see http://www.velocitymotorsport.co.uk/contactus.asp or http://www.ayupmeduck.net/contact.asp as examples
