He seems to have a good few titles which broadly overlap. Looking for the most comprehensive and encyclopedic printing. Will be read at home, not required to be taken outside.

Trust Pauls choices! The essential one is a good place to start. Then it depends on if you are talking tree/plant identification, tracking, tools and techniques, foraging etc.
