I am looking to fit a new bathroom in my daughters flat. I have a quote from MKM, a local supplier who fits as well, Wickes and have priced online with victorian plumbing.
Does anyone have experience with any of these suppliers and is bathroom stuff pretty much all the same from where ever you buy it.
Bathroom stuff isn't all the same, no. otherwise they'd be no point in hundreds of different companies making it and lots of different price points.
I wouldn't touch Victorian plumbing and find Wickes very overpriced. I'd go to a small plumbing merchants and ask for advice based on your (her) budget.
I use our local Graham's trade shop for plumbing.
Really helpful staff, properly knowledgeable about what works and what doesn't, happy to put up with amatuer like me. Good prices too.
Victorian Plumbing are awful by all reports including my sister. Wickes were good for two people we know. I did three bathroom refits using Graham's and the local tile merchant. Cheap, but you need to know what you're after.
I’ve used Victoria Plumb a few times without any problems - they often do deals/bundles that save a lot over individual components.

If you’re anywhere near West Yorks I know a bathroom supplier who is in the process of winding up and is selling his current and display stock off at ridiculous discounts.
We are in central Scotland, bit of a trek to West Yorkshire. Thanks for the advice so far. I will try Grahams tomorrow and see if their prices are better.
I would be inclined to go for brand name stuff for the taps, shower tray/screen, bath, loo etc.
I used an on-line company called Heat and Plumb as we wanted something specific and they were the best price, didn't seem to be loads of awful reviews so went for it.
I can only assume they use the De Agostini delivery method, where every few weeks another part of your bathroom turns up. This did not make for an easy DIY project or harmony within the house.
Not having anywhere to store a bathroom while waiting for enough bits to install what you have lead to have the porcelain sat in the front room for a while, interesting look when you have visitors..........
So, go local and in stock if you can.

(Soon I hope, builder dependent, to embark on swapping round a bedroom and bathroom. It helps fill the empty hours. Managed to source good cheap kit last time we did similar and would be keen to do so again...)
