Okay, I took the chain off the bike to clean it after my last ride. I got called away before I put it back together again. I just went to the garage to get the bike and the chain is hung wher I left it but the joining links are gone!

Who moved them and where are they?

No bike shops open so can't buy a spare 🙁

WCA - you never clean your bikes! This must be a New Year resolution, right?

just around the woods, hard grounds little bit of ice not much mud.

Do you need a power link?

Yeah, if you have a spare one. Fancy a quick blast around the woods later (perhaps in the dark)?

i need some motivation to get off my arse, the broken chain is a poor excuse

Great. Richard kindly drops round with a power link on his way to somewhere. I wander down to the garage and find out his 8 speed powerlink doesn't fit my 9 speed chain!

After an hour of carefully cleaning the garage up and putting stuff away and I eventually find the missing link.

Now it is getting dark and the temperature is dropping so I won't be going for a ride anyway! Grrr

No, it was on the edge of the shelf behind where I was stood when I took it off. It was cloaked in a veil of invisibility when I looked there earlier.
