....sleep?

for the last 7 (gulp) years i've tended to take the lefthand side (when laying down) irrelevent as to how the room/bed is arranged.

only when i'm drunk do i end up nearest the door. not sure if that's because that is where i fell first or because i don't have to clamber over the GF if i'm about to be sick....

Its best to put any blokes nearest the door, as none of them seem to be able to spend a whole night without visiting the loo at least twice!

That bedroom is crowded. I'm across the street with a long lens and some fancy listening equipment. No, don't close the curtains!

She makes me sleep nearest the door. I don't mind as I'll be first out if a monster comes in through the window

?? Prostate/bladder problems ?? Jeeze, once I'm out I'm out - you couldnt wake me up if you pushed me out of bed (literally!). As a kid my dad drilled a hole in the brick wall next to my bed with a large (1/2 inch) masonary bit on hammer-drill mode and I didn't even stir 😀

I sleep on the left (lying on back). But I prefer to sleep diagonally as I'm too long to fit on a double bed without my toes poking out and head against the headboard which is very frustrating.

right at mine, left at hers (or right at hers if I'm leaving early at the weekend)

why do so many of you have your beds near the door? sounds draughty.. brr..

actually here's a question for you.. Who decided where the bed is in the room, you or the missus?

Always on the left, even on holiday, doesnt matter where the door/window is.

Coffeeking get your self a bed without a footboard like I do.

Lots of people seem to have bedrooms where you can only get on to bed from one side, seems a bit weird, is it duwe to size of room?

Always on the right. Had five different houses now and only in the last two have I been near the window.

Can't sleep on the left.

Mrsjova sleeps all over the bed so I get left with a six inch strip down the edge. Even when we bought a wider bed she still demanded most/all of it. I wouldn't mind but she's only 5' 2" tall and 8 st wringing wet

Bed without a footboard is where it's at. I feel all wrong if my feet are warm and not sticking out.

On the left, unless on holiday, then on the right? No idea why.

jova - get a kingsize bed. They are over 6' wide, so even if she is 90 degrees the wrong way you'll still get 1' or so!

My wife resembles a swastika when she sleeps, so I'm very grateful for ANY bed I can fit into. not easy @ 6feet2 tall 😥

in the cupboard under the stairs......

seriously though - right for me, closest to the door but that matters not, just can't do the left hand side thing, i'm so odd tht when the previous Mrs Turner and I parted company I still stayed right rather than making the most a having of a kingsize bed to myself

Are we looking at the bed from the foot? If that's the case, I sleep on the right. I think I always have done actually. Yup.

It's not even the side nearest the phone either, which is where I would assume I would sleep. Hmmmm.

I once got told off by my wife for having "half the bloody duvet"

I'm not a good duvet sharer, this is easily solved however by having a duvet each 🙂

actually here's a question for you.. Who decided where the bed is in the room, you or the missus?

Not lucky enough to have a big enough room that there'd be more than one place to put the bed.

women get the wall side, it's the rules, i dont make them, I just folow them!

The exception to that rule being my ex, who would spend so long putitng on about 6 different types of moisturiser that i'd be asleep before she got in!

He always makes me sleep on the left, apparently the other side is weird...a bed is a bed to me :s But what i dont get is how i can fall asleep in his arms completely wrapped around him....then wake up hours later with him on the other side of the bed...with all the duvet... :/ how do i not notice that? n i thought women were meant to be the light sleepers :s

I sleep alone. And in the rare times we get to spend time together I'm usually in the spare room due to my unfortunate medical condition (snorus maximus).

it would seem that most blokes sleep on the righthand side (when standing looking at bed from foot end of bed).

think it has anything to do with being left or right handed? my dad is left handed and sleeps on the right (when lying down)....

Looking from the foot of the bed, I sleep on the left. At hers and mine, so doors and walls are irrelevant. It's to do with how we cuddle 🙂

Me on the left, with the window open.
Mrs on the right with 90% of the duvet !

But on holiday - it all changes and I'm nearest the door.
