Mine was this bad boy...

[img] [/img]

Honda H100. What a machine! It was my freedom and chick magnet - stop laughing back there....
I covered many many miles on it and when I were a lad used to race my mate in his 850cc Fiesta, and win! haha!

I perfected the tuck position on it to eek out the extra point something of a mile per hour on it too. lol

1st bike : Kawasaki AR 50

While everyone else was riding what we called 'chicken chasers'. I rebuilt this bad boy with Micron straight through exhaust, different rear sprocket and 'performance' air filter to give me an extra 9/10 mph 🙂

1.3L 3 door 1981 Mk3 Ford Escort, which I bought in 1991 I think.
Same colour as this but more rust. Lasted about six months before I crashed twice in one week, the second one wrote it off.

71 Capri 1600 XL auto. The auto didn't last long before I bolted in a 4 speed & a Weber carb. So easy to fix with Escort & Cortina parts being dirt cheap, at the time.

Honda CG125 (1st Generation).

Top speed of 68mph and I could get over 130 mpg too.

I used to ride up the A9 to Inverness tucked in behind a decent sized HGV as that made it faster.

Grounded it at the Aberlady corner a couple of times resulting in a big off. I eventually took a hacksaw to the tang of the stand to increase the ground clearance.

Changed the exhaust, put a big bore kit on it and just the sprockets as well and it went pretty well actually 🙂

Bike, Suzuki RG250 Mk 11 Gamma with a stage 3 Stan Stephens race tune. Mother of God did I learn to ride when I had that!

Best bike BTW, 1998 Kawasaki ZX6R (in green of course)......then the kids came along

How did you get a 250 as your first motorbike? Respect anyway because I can remember those things being extremely rapid, particularly when tuned 8)

I really quite fancy one of those now, or an aprilia

Funnily enough I only started biking AFTER the kids came along - does that make me a bad dad?

Went everywhere in the UK. Floor eventually rusted through, as did almost everything else to be honest.

1st bike Honda CB100 - rebuilt by me aqnd my Dad (mostly him), ticked off my mates at poly with their Fizzies and Puch Maxis 🙂

Followed by my 1st car, a 1500 Mk1 Cortina in dark blue. £70.

After too many years without a bike I now have a yellow Daytona, and I'm driving a Fabia VRS which is a hoot. Happy days then and now.

Hyundai Pony coupe. Kept three spare wheels in the back because they kept collapsing when hitting obstacles such as cats eyes, small twigs and wool.

I was so proud of it - "Electric Blue" with added rust effect. I thought it was a hot hatch!

Lol at Ho-hum's dad's car's windscreen wipers saying, "Tarzan". That would drive me nuts too 🙂

This was my first bike - a Yamaha RD250E. Sadly this isn't it but mine was the same colour but had Allspeed expansion boxes on it and a nice set or rear-sets and dropped bars. Absolutely ace bike, quite quick and much better when it had some proper Avon Roadrunner tyres fitted in a proper big size 😀

Gilo - you mean you had one? The E looked stunning - discs front and back and those wheels mmmmm. I looked round for ages wanting a 250 but my dad wanted me get a Honda as he had a 400 Dream (yuk). I found loads of Hondas but only the one Yam which my mates mate was selling so I paid £400 for it and I loved it. They fetch really good money now but I'd love to get one. I did want an LC but they were a lot more money if truth be told.
