[gricer mode] The tanks contain nothing but water that is sprayed onto the rail at some horrendous pressure. If the train stops without switching the jets off it'll cut clean through the rail.

It's the only reliable way of getting leaf mulch (that has been welded to the rail by passing trains) off to get a clean rail head.

Leaf debris on the rail forms a teflon-like coating on the rail and cannot be scrubbed/burned/etched off the rail once it's on there.[/gricer mode]

This one uses very high pressure jets, powerfull enough to take your hand off, let alone remove a few leaves off the track
