We will be in touch
Interesting. Is it his, or is Peter Jackson broadening his collection? 😆
Mine drives an impreza, not quite as cool but could be worse.
R8, Exige & a Landy. He's also my dad so i occasionally get to have a pootle.
No idea but I suspect it's a big 4x4 as he's American, living in the Midwest and likes hunting (with guns).
Nice bloke though. Go figure.
Passat Estate. He's one of the most boring men on the planet. Not sure if his choice of car reflects this (sorry STM!)
Looks a bit like this, but not ginger

My boss drives....... me mad !!!
I am my own boss. I drive a big merc, used to drive an Integra Type R until I blew it up.
Just bought a pick up truch which I collect at the weekend. Thinking of moving into a trailer and marrying my sister.
As the boss I reserve the right to drive my diesel t5 ! But I have a 911 as well which maybe balances it out a bit 🙂
Mine drives an Aston Martin DB9, previously a TVR Tuscan. But he still can't give me a pay rise over the last three years, or pay me £2k in overtime I accrued over 3 months last year...
BMW, top guy though.
Octavia VRS, or Peugot Bippa van. I prefer the Bippa, it looks like a scale model of a van, but is actually quite spacious inside and surprisingly nippy when loaded for a 1.4 deisel.
used to drive an Integra Type R until I blew it up.
Did you really? Lordy, you kept it quiet though... 🙂
Peugot Bippa
It's actually a "BippER" isn't it? Great little vans though and an inspired name.
My boss and I are similar in income but radically different in how we spend it. Her house isn't very appealing IMO but she drives a newish Z4 whereas I have a battered Puma.

Go work for yourself then
Oh and I'm my own boss and I have an old Land Rover
My boss drives my Volvo S80, but she cooks my dinner and sleeps with me so that's ok.
My boss has a Merc S Class, Porsche 911 of some sort, BMW M3 . . . . and a Fiat Panda because he wants to save money on petrol when running around locally!!!!
She drives a C Class of some sort.
TBH, I could afford to drive a C-Class, too, but fail to see the point in spending all that on a car. Mrs North and I drive a Mazda.
his Mum's Nissan Micra
train or bike like most people here.
Diesel Peugot saloon.
It's economical.
BMW 3 series estate - the seats are always covered in sand as he spends all his free time on the beach with his family or surfing.
Plus he has an entry level specialized mtb and a trek roadbike.
My boss has an old Land Rover Discovery but occasionally commutes on a Cannondale Bad-Boy.
He's had two bikes under the bike-to-work scheme but I can't remember what the other ones is, although I'm pretty sure it's a mountain bike and probably another snap-and-fail.
Go work for yourself then
I'm sacking it in to go back to uni, then maybe I will be eventually 🙂
We are "the boss"
3 series estate, Jimny softop 😉
My own boss, I drive a Passat and a Prius, although not at the same time 🙂
The boss of the department of the company I am contracted too drives... well not sure actually. BMW perhaps.
The person I am reporting to at work drives a Mini Cooper.
Is this interesting in any way?
Mol - what do you do? Contracting? Always interested in others that do their own thing.
That helicopter is DAMN cool.
The 430 isn't bad either 😉
I don't have a boss!
(I don't have a car either ;( )
Mat, I am an IT contractor, so it's kind of self employment, kind of not. The more specialist you get and the older you get the more it becomes like being a consultant working for yourself, and less like being a temp worker.
Mol - I remember now! I was an IT Recruitment "consultant" (heavily abused word used in recruiting IMO) for a couple of years - it was booming at the time (1997-1999) then went travelling for six months, came back and it has died on it's ar5e! I still feel guilty for making good money from the y2K "bug!"
A diesel Mazda6.
And he's a top chap.
Keep telling him to get a bike but he's not bitten yet.
Heh.. recruitment agents are a mixed bag. There are hoards of phone jockeys who call you up and ask if you have a, b, and c then send a big pile of CVs over. Then there are a very few who actually do their job properly and try and find the right person for their client.
And the Y2K bug was real, it's just that so much work was done on fixing it.
What do you do that makes you your own boss?
Mol - run a PR company with my wife.
TBH I did well in IT recruitment by actually bothering to learn the stuff I was "selling" - not actual coding but I spent a lot of time researching just so I knew I wasn't talking BS - if really helped and seems rare in the industry.
We hired all the contractors for the start up of Connect Austria (Orange in Austria) - that was a biggie. Plus a few banks, utilities companies, etc. It was good fun at the time and a good salary for a 22-24 year old.
A car worse than what I drive 🙂
RS6 - although it seems to be spending a lot of time in the garage at the moment.
even better, i'm on the insurance for it...
Mine drives an Aston Martin DB9, previously a TVR Tuscan. But he still can't give me a pay rise over the last three years, or pay me £2k in overtime I accrued over 3 months last year...
Probably won't be able to afford to get it re-sprayed either then. 🙂
Mat, I'm sorry but I have to laugh a bit about you working in PR!
hasn't Mr Surf-Matt got the BP PR account 😆
