MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
Searched for - but couldn't find - a thread from a while back which I recollect saying that for white goods either AEG or Bosch or Miele were really worth buying if you want it to last; but I can't remember which one!
Anyone care to opine (and better still, suggest a good source!), please?
Thanks
Miele apparently last forever. Think you get a big warranty too.
My bosch one is loads better than the smeg one it replaced if that helps.
Me, I'll do it, seeing as your'e obviously an idle git.! 😉
Essel - nice one! Made me laugh.
Thanks for the other bits.
Miele here.
They're a little more expensive, worth the extra imo.
Not happy with my Bosch - died just outside the 2 year warranty. Must get round to trying to fix it some time.
Miele here too, fifteen years old and counting. The extra top drawer for cutlery is a good idea too, makes the big bottom drawer more useful for big or awkward stuff.
Froogle shows the G1022 for £409 from s&r electric, £469 from John Lewis
Decent Bosch with extended warranty.
Indie Fab 😉
Try Technic - they are exactly the same as Bosch/Neff (same innards, made in same factory, same controls etc) but without the trendy name, so much cheaper. Seems to be good quality - 14 months trouble free use here.
I'd aviod AEG, they used to be good, but they have been taken over by Electrolux. We bought one last year, and it's hopeless.
Thanks everyone - much appreciated.
The results according to the oracle that is STW are:
Miele 3
Bosch 2 (-1)
Technic 1
Cheers!
Add another one for Miele.
They seem very keen on their extended warranties.
My dishwasher has a 5 year one and they've covered the washing machine for 10 years!
Oh and the top cutlery drawer is a great idea.
