What... alarm clock?!

Such a basic question, but honestly I'm struggling here. The OH wants an alarm clock - something that will wake her up with the (FM) radio, that's easy to use, and that has a dimmable display. Probably radio presets would be useful too; and if it looked slightly aesthetically pleasing that'd be a bonus.

It's a really simple combination, but looking online for "best alarm clock radio" throws up £100+ DAB/ wifi/ tricorder type things that look like they need a PhD to operate; and we don't need DAB/ internet/ the time projected on the roof.

So what you got?

Use your phone and some form of automation to play the radio as soon as it's told you the weather and how crap the traffic on your commute will be!

Pure Siesta are good. Current model is around £100 RRP but often discounted or there are still older models around.

Get a dawn light alarm clock.

I haven't hit snooze since the day I got one.

Then put the radio on in the kitchen

Sony cube thing, we are still using a Dream Machine version from 30 years ago, but ICF-C1 seems to be the current equivalent.

Another vote for whatever Sony have out at the moment.

My dad still has his Sony Dream Machine from the 80s. I think its a ICF-C2W.

I have a ICF-C218 from the mid-2000s. Totally indestructible.

I have one of these and it does the job well, FM reception good, can have two separate alarm times and set to radio pre-set or actual alarm:

No phones in the bedroom, I can't see a positive to doing so.
