Any strong recommendations for a nice country pub with rooms (or accommodation within walking distance of a nice pub), decent food and beer, anywhere west of Bristol and north of Plymouth please? Needs to be dog friendly. And reasonably priced, say <£120pn. Cheers!

We stayed a couple of nights at the Dartmoor Inn in Lydford on the way down to pick up EpicJnr from Boardmasters summer 24. Dog friendly, good food and beer. On a main road rather than a village, but well sound proofed. Walks on the moor and at Lydford gorge. Pricing sensible

Thanks! That led me to the Castle Inn at Lydford which looks very nice for the money. All booked, as you were.
