I stupidly let my domain name expire and I now have a cyber squatter. Little I can do about it as the old site maybe had 500 hits a month and perusing it would be costly and unlikely to result in success. I have bought the .co.uk version of it, moved the content to a new provider and started again. I have two questions.

The first is can I remove the references to the old site from google. Unfortunately all the links direct to a holding page setup by my cyber squatter so it never generates a 404 so will not be removed by google naturally as a dead link.

The second is any tips to get my new site indexed by google and co. so the content is back up there above all the old redundant links

All help great fully received!

ND

Domain ?
Business or personal, is it a 'brand' name ?

Jmason,

Personal domain www.alittlebikeblog.co.uk used to own the .com version which now points to a syndicated advert site. But I presume as they are not infringing a brand name it is a lost cause?
