[Closed] Webguide media center alternatives

Does anybody know of an alternative for webguide media center. I am reloading my vista pc and webguide allows me to schedule tv recordings from any web browser. The problem is it is no longer supported and the asciiexpress website is no longer in use. I have remote potato on my windows 7 pc and have just installed this onto my vista pc as vista is now supported. After a lot of checking i have found that the remote scheduling is only available on windows 7. My windows 7 box is in the living room and not switched on all the time, the vista machine is in the office and acts as a server so is always on. Help please....
