I'm gonna get a webcam...
I want to use it for skype, but also perhaps, short "How to" videos.
Any recommendations, things to look out for?

Is skype and webcam old hat then?
I've had a webcam for years, can count on one hand the number of times I've used it really. Probably should use it more but just never seems necessary somehow!

Seems like you can get a reasonable starter one for £20.

Logitech ones are always quite good quality, although the last two cheap ones I've bought were fine (they were unbranded, bought in dodgy shops in various places), so I'd try any old cheapish one.

Dont go too far down the logitech range, mine tends to have a very grainy picture (quickcam chat) and never manages the 30fps it claimed on the box.
