Just found out we are having another boy in August!! Told the wife she is going to have to start getting into Mountain Biking now, because we already have one little boy! and i can't wait to go out riding with him, but now we are going to have another, who will hopefully do the same...................... only problem is it is a couple of years away as he is only 8 months old

You sound quite excited! Boys are better than girls, that is for sure 😉

I'm unsure about the boy vs girl thing. I mean sure, if our new kid turns out to be a boy he'd get a significantly higher profile and a good wage playing rugby for the Blues and Wales, but girls are lovely don't you think?

trouble is he couldn't play for Wales! I live in the Isle of Man so he will be Manx! His mum is Manx and Grandparents on her side are to...but me and my parents are english, so the best he could do is play for england!

Still could play for the blues though.....all likely hood is he will be a big lad, both of them will be.....

having had one of each I'd say they're both nice, just in different ways.

We're not saying boys are nicer, just better...

Me and my wife are due a boy in 8 weeks. Our first together.

I remember going for the 20-week scan and being told 'It's a boy!'

After the initial excitement I couldn't help thinking, "Well, Yes. It was always going to be that, or a girl. Wasn't it. Dur."

Can't wait for the birth. 2 weeks paid holiday! ... oops, did I say that out loud?

We think we're ready. But you're never really ready for something as life-changing.

😀

"boys are better than girls"

Really come on. Different undoubtably but better??

I've got 2 of each and they all rock!

Incidentally my youngest girl shreds the boys on the bike, does it make her better?

i wouldn't have been upset if it had been a girl at all. We already have one little boy who is an absoulte super star.....would of been nice to have it even.......but the main thing is they are healthy and happy.............

although mum is a little sad because she says boys are rubbish at getting presents and don't like to go clothes shopping.........she has a point there.............

but at lunch i said to her..look at it this way at least we don't have to worry about what our daughter is doing with smell older boys and what not.......she said.....true..but our boys will be the smeely older boys other peoples daughters are with LOL!!!

My wife went for a special scan to find out th esex of our second one. I made her promise not to tell me.

So she told our then 3 year old who then proudly announced he was going to have a baby sister but that he mustn't tell me she would be a girl.

Congratulations on your wife's pregnancy.

My wife and I have three children and did not know the sex of each of them until they were born. We wanted to keep it a surprise.

2 girls and 1 boy. Which sex is better? I can't give an answer to be honest.

I wanted a boy, have a daughter and WOULD NOT change her for anybody. Bikes? Yep.
Play with a hammer on the balcony? Yep.
Wash my car? Yep.
Likes pizza? Yep.
Tried Guinness and decided it should be for me? Yep.
Brings me her cake saying "Daddy, eat my cake, please!"? Yep.
My little pot of joy 🙂
Whatever pops out, enjoy the experience.

Of course girls don't have to be girly as we should all know.

No sir, it was my wife's work whom I had trained prior.
My little one dislikes single malt though, she thinks strawberry milk is nicer, weird!

Couldn't be more pleased, can't wait till he starts developing. He started looking at things & reaching for them the other night which almost reduced me to tears... FTMU (sic)...
Now I spend virtually every waking moment thinking, for e.g., how to help his growth so he doesn't turn to ned-hood (though the inherent wheelie skills may compensate a tiny amount), doesn't give serious attitude upon adolescence, loves being out, gets on with other kids, doesn't hate me etc. etc.
Was barely ready for it, but it's all good 🙂

- doesn't give serious attitude upon adolescence: Adolescence? That starts at 2 years old and gets worse... and worse...
- loves being out: they get that off the parents.
- gets on with other kids: keep worrying!
- doesn't hate me: Ah, don't worry about that. He will!

just did the maths 8 month old and one due in august, a 13 month gap, well you better sell the bike as it will get dusty/ out date before you ride it again it will be like having twins. I know we had a 14 and a hlf month gap and that was tough eough, you try shopping with a double buggy etc, enjoy it though ours are now 10 and 11 and used to like each other but now its sometimes like WW3
