So its getting to the point where by all the water bottles ive collected over the years are getting knackered. Seeing the price of them (20 quid in some instances!) im looking for ones that come free with some stuff.

Im not bothered what the stuff is if im honest just that i get a decent free waterbottle (like the sis stuff and high 5)

Any suggestions apart from not being so tight?

Join the Army?

They give you loads of free shit,

Water bottles, boots, hats, rucksacks, I even know one guy who got a Land Rover.

High 5 sample packs, usually on offer so you can get a bunch of gels, recovery drink, energy drink and isotonic tablets with a bottle for about £7.

I got free water bottles (500-600ml) at all the races i did last year. That does mean ~£60 for a water bottle (and a race weekend)

Camelbak Podiums are cheaper than that, and about as good as bottles get imo (they're really cheap if you don't mind getting horrible colours)

+1 looks like the latest design is an improvement too as it looks like it's easier to disassemble & clean the valve (my only niggle with the older ones I've got)

tbh tend to use just plain water so don't dishwash them heavily, I have run them through a few times on low though and they're all still ok!

Mine go through the dishwasher (top shelf) all the time. No problems.

That said, I've never had issues with putting any bike bottle through the dishwasher.

If you don't mind them having trade teams on them, these are 99p on PX. Good bottles too.

Water bottles with a lid that flips over the mouthpiece seem scarce these days.

I don't like drinking out of a bottle that's been sprayed with emulsified dog/cattle shit.

Decathlon, not free but they were doing lidded ones for £1.50
Particularly good for mtb as lids keep cack off the spout!
