Nothing until you can start keeping stuff down, or in. Just sip water to keep your hydration levels up and occasionally try some dry toast to see when you can start eating again. Not much you can do but to get yourself to bed and wait for it to pass. Personally I find that once I can keep stuff in I can usually eat most things but try to keep it simple and plain for a day or so.

You just need to wait it out. If you miss the night out, so be it.

Your body has decided to flush your guts out for some reason, until it's changed its mind, you won't keep much down. As long as you stay hydrated you'll be fine.

Coke, but open the bottle/can and leave it to get flat and plain biscuit like a rich tea. And water.
I would give the ride tomorrow a miss you need to give yourself time to recover

Electrolite sports drinks (just electrolite, not isotnic energy drinks) seem to be pretty much the same thing, without the abhorrent taste of cherry creme soda.

Coke or lucozade and plain salted crisps seem to do the trick for me when recovering from something like that.

Chocolate Milk.

Not a recommendation, just an observation.

Bananas, rice, stewed apple and Toast is an old fashioned way to get people eating again but it does seem to work quite well.

I imagine if you had wheatbix with milk, then the milk might be causing you to feel sick. Plenty of fluids is the key though. I'd avoid sugary drinks though.

What I can recommend though is going far down the channels in search or cheesy movies. A few days of gastric purge makes me really sentimental. Last time it happened there was an advert for a Nissan car that made me cry every time it came on.

Electrolytes aka sodium with a little calcium magnesium potassium selenium. Aldi do them in some stores. Nuun, High5, Powerbar, Sis are popular brands. Put table salt in your orange squash if desperate!

2 weeks. **** that. I once had it for a day or two, and that was more than enough.

It was absolutely premium a grade shite. I was about ready to punch the walls if I had any energy left by the end of it. My laundry was absolutely revolting too.

Water, lots of it, orange juice with a pinch of salt in it, toast, chicken soup when up to it.
Pretty much what I ate and drank when I got hit by Norovirus.

yes it will, but not just yet, the bacteria that break down dairy products are some the last to recover after a spell of D&V.

As above, BRAT diet is recommended once you can keep things down.
You can get most of it in the same pot from the baby food isle and it's dead easy rather than preparing food.
Gentle on you too if you later discover you've started to early

Personally I would stay away from (cow) dairy products altogether. In that I include milk in tea and coffee and butter.

It's really hard to digest (whey protein).

I had a nasty dose of food poisoning earlier this year. First time I reintroduced dairy I was sick for another three days. Effects were almost immediate of return of the runs. Doctor told me to stay off.

Previously kids have been advised to go onto goat milk by GP for a week or two after tummy bugs.

Goat milk is betterer/ok.
