The wife was looking up some journals the other day, only for the vodafone message to pop up and tell her that the content was blocked. Odd I thought, as I'd set the router up not to restrict anything on first startup.
as a quick one, tried to connect to it via Tor, only to find that tor could not connect to the network.
Tried browsing to the tor site to see if it was a version problem, but the page was unavailable.

tried on my phone, off wifi (also vodafone data) and everything seemed to connect fine.

As there are a few on VF broadband here, anyone else on having issues recently?

I'll check the advanced setting when I get home, but just wondered if the router has had an update resetting it.

just trying to see if it's a VF issue, my router issue or a global restriction by the lizard kings?

You can have local filtering on your router, but also some ISPs will filter at the remote level - you can ask them to turn it off.

It's also worth noting there has been a few larger-than-usual DDoS attacks recently, starting last Friday and over the weekend that knocked out one of the US' largest DNS provider - so if anything you were trying to connect to was on there connectivity would of been patchy until Monday maybe.

"Vodaphone message" sounds like you've installed some pointless bundled software or other. Uninstall it.

Sounds like the Vodafone "content control". It is a setting on your account - your should be able to verify your age and disable it.

Oddly, messing about with the router settings did nothing, as probably expected, but I thought I'd have a play.
tried logging into my vodafone to be told there was an error. retried a few times to then be told it's down for maintenance.

Then I could log into Tor without problems. So I'm suspectng a glitch VF's end.

all well now.

Yeah it's annoying these days that you have to make the "Can I have all the porn now please" call to your internet provider.

you've got to be brash about it.

'the wifes away all weekend and the forecast is for heavy storms, I'm going to need the porn please as I've wateched everything on netflix'
