No visa required for UK passport holders... under the Visa waiver programe

You do need to fill in an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA)

Don't be conned into paying for these THEY ARE FREE but there are loads of dodgy websites offering to do it for a fee

True.. just do bear in mind that this is not wholly applicable even if you've ever been arrested, let alone charged.
Just saying, that's all. 🙂

WE filled ours in on the plane and handed it in to customs guy to stamp on arrival, BA handed them out during the flight.

You now HAVE to fill in the ESTA on line, however at present they are still making people fill in the green I95 (!? I think) that you complete on the plane for some reason they are still duplicating it.

Remember though the ESTA is free (as mentioned above already) loads of places are charging £20!!

I was in the states 2 weeks ago.

As above, fill out the ESTA online (it's free).

Then you'll get given a green card on the plane to fill out too, same info again (so take a copy of the address where you're staying etc. on the plane, so you can fill it out).
