We will be in touch
Just had this email from Virgin Media:
You might have already heard that Virgin Media is upgrading its broadband speeds throughout the UK. So, we'd like to be completely clear about what this means for you.
Well, we're going to double your broadband download speed from up to 10Mb to up to 20Mb. It's part of an 18 month programme, starting at the end of February, where we'll be upgrading more than 4 million customers. And this includes you.
Is this anything to get excited about or does it mean rock all:
unless you're gaming or downloading films or sharing your connection with loads of devices, it's nothing to get excited about and means rock all.
in my opinion.
I have the basic 10mb commection, and I don't really have any issues at all at the moment. It's used for the TV, PS3 and Laptop but there are only two of in the house. Not going to complain when they double it though. On demand stuff we use through the Tivo box, which has it's own router, so that doesn't slow the normal line down.
Increasing prices too, but with a bit less ballyhoo.
