Signed up with Unicom for my home phone billing a year ago. The sales guy promised that my bills would be less than they were with BT. The first month's bill was a fair bit highter (line rental and so on - we rarely actually make calls on the home phone).
I phoned up to cancel and was advised that I would have to pay a 'Termination fee' of £90 or wait until the contract expires.
So a year on (today!) I phoned up to cancel and was told it's actually a three year contract and the fee to cancel has risen to over £300.
This is after four days of being promised a call back from the contracts team - the call backs never happened and I only got through to them today by shouting and audibly waving my arms about.
Have I any recourse?
