Im trying to find a tune that somehow randomly appeared on my ipod. It had english lyrics but was sung by a girl with a french accent and had i think an accordion type instrument in it also. A really new song I think.... not much to go on I know!!!

Vague guesses - Female - English with french accent could be Smoke City, or maybe Shortwave Set,

I think if you dial 2580 and play then play the tune, hold the phone to the speaker for a few seconds, ring off you will then get a txt back with all the details. I am not sure if it works with all networks but vodaphone does it I believe.

Is it Je t'aime?

No...that was in French wasn't it.

Joe Le Taxi?

No, that was by a French girl...

I'm stuck...how about "Where Do You Go To My Lovely?"

Yes, as Swift, Nouvelle Vague are pretty current, french, have female singers and use accordian. However, their cover material is almost exclusively 70s/80s punk and New Wave.

You can listern to a selection of tracks here Nouvelle Vague

My personal fave being Guns of Brixton by The Clash. The Visage one, Fade to Grey, has exclusively accordian at the start.

Well he didnt mention the style 😉

The live version of Love will tear us apart (extended) is my favourite.
