Arg it's that time of year again.....

So, I drive a 2.5 TDI 1999 swb VW transporter with side windows and alloy wheels, got 3 years no claims, and 1 knock to my name 2 years ago (rear shunt so my fault..)So the quotes are coming in at £500- £600- ouch!

Any other van owners out there go with a specialist insurer? (quotes I've got so far are from Autonet and Direct line) Do I get penalised for being self employed?

Direct line quoted me £950 for my T4 with side windows & rear seats(9 years protected no claims & 1 reversing incident with a parked car 2 years ago).
Adrian flux quoted £300 with those mods.
Brentacre quoted £399 with any mods I want.

Adrian Flux for me - in self converted camper from a 2008 3.0lt lwb Ducato van. Have not had an issue to sort but seem good to talk to on the phone. Insurance comes from (AF are a broker) Highway at the moment.

I was with autonet, and due to high renewal have also changed to Adrian Flux. I have not just got a better price than the renewal but lower than last year!

When my van was a van I went with NFU no no claims or insurance for 15 years but had a licence for 23 years. T5 fully comp just under £400 now a camper and had to swap so went with Adrian Flux pounds ten cheaper than anywhere else.

budget van insurance have all mine with them.. ps from those low quotes its clear you dont live in manchester car theft central or rochdale which has the highest ratio of taxi related incidents in the country

Brentacre here. £530 this year but on a campervan policy that lets you alter anything apart from BHP

Don't think living in Bradford helps.. among the highest for non insured drivers and those accidents where they suddenly slam on so you crash into the back of them 😯
