Bog roll dispenser fails at the 1st hurdle. What kind of pervert hangs it so the free end is by the wall FFS.

The Curta is brilliant but far from useless. I love the useless box also. Brilliant thing!

I'd like one of those Planet X London Road Schrödinger frames.

You'll never know 'till you open the box.

An Alfa 4C Spider. In red. Painfully pretty, but completely impractical.

I would imagine that the coffee cup Stirling engine is not completely useless, it would cool your coffee a bit quicker.

Umm. .. Drunken purchase on ebay.... One citizen eco drive BIN for 50 quid... And another eco drive that I put in a max bid if 32.56 and won it as no one else bid.... Oh and an army desert camp mvp (gortex type waterproof) for 20 quid, new. I'm ****in frugal when I'm drunk.

Knew this thread would come good.

*adds sterling engine to shopping list*

Totally useless for me, don't drink tea, coffee or any hot drinks really...

Always liked the idea of a useless box, but the unplugger is a work of pointless genius.

Isn't it just. Supremely pointless but utterly brilliant

Re: the Curta.
I'm old enough to have gone to school when old style mechanical calculators were used. My primary school had over a dozen Curtas. I was assured that when the school was closed they were thrown in a skip as electronic calculators now existed.

That kickstarter Tungsten cube, tiny but weighs one kilo.
Costs hundreds of pounds, it's not even a gadget but it's still inexplicably desirable.

It's a funny one this & fair play to the people who have set that kickstarter campaign up because it seems very popular & I bet they are making an absolute killing out of it.
We use a lot of tungsten at work & it's just a heavy, dull grey metal. The first time you pic it up, it is a bit of a surprise just how heavy it is.....but then it's just......erm......a lump of dull grey metal.

I was given a bottle opener recently as a house warming present

It's 3D printed. In titanium.

It's the best gift I have ever received. Ever
